Training update – Society of Editors members
If you want to sit the 2009 accreditation exam, it’s time to get prepared. Don’t miss the workshop to prepare for the exam. Like last year, I’ll be helping people brush up on hard-copy mark-up skills, and there will be a panel of accredited editors and/or assessors to answer questions and clarify recommended exam technique.
The workshop is on Saturday 25 July, at Bardon Hall, Brisbane. Book by emailing Robin Bennett, by 21 July.
The society will soon be opening the next stage of CAL mentoring program to members who would like an opportunity to work under the guidance of some senior editors. Although I was announced as the new non-fiction mentor, it turned out that I would not be available for some key dates, and I have been replaced by the wonderful Susan Addison. I hope to be able to be involved in another mentoring project later on.
